One day in Paris...

I left Paris for three days, to pass an important exam. for us southerners, Paris is not always pleasant. but after my exam, I took myself relaxing with one of my best friends.

we have chosen the "Luxembourg Garden". but first, a little hot chocolate in front of the Pantheon
with a view over part of the Iron Lady, "Eiffel tower". even further, she is still beautiful

Panthéon : this monument is now destined to meet great people who marked the history of France.

Now the visit!!

the first thing that is striking is the difference in atmosphere between the city and the garden. past the gate, you enter a world of peace and relaxation.

Here are a few discoveries that I enjoyed. when we are back in the garden, we saw a rather special status.

The Scream, the Writing (Le Cri, l'Ecrit) is a work of French artist Fabrice Hyber. This is a bronze sculpture symbolizing slavery and his abolition. Founded in 2007, she is installed in the Luxembourg Gardens

"She consists of three ring-shaped elements, joined to each other to form a string. The lower ring seems half buried under the ground, the second form a complete oval and closed and the last is a split ring on one of her side.

The work has two faces: one of these faces is curved and painted a dark color. The other is flat and covered with ribs red and green on a white background. The latter also includes words embossed on the surface, which address the theme of slavery"

Le Cri, l'Ecrit

"souffre, disparaitre, empêcher,..." the words written are "suffering, disappear, preventing". there are also words like "death, torture, ..."

we arrived at the Palais du Luxembourg

He is the site of the French Senate, which was installed in 1799 in the palace built in the early seventeenth century, as a result of the Regency of Marie de Medici.
I had the chance to visit the Senate, a few years ago. it is a wonder, for his part cultural, and architectural. one of the pride of Paris.

Palais du Luxembourg
my favorite part are the statutes. Here, a few photos
