Welcome to Porquerolles!
Located on the same latitude as Cap Corse making it the southernmost point of the Provençal coast, the island of Porquerolles is the largest of the three Golden Isles with its 1254 ha in area. It forms an arc oriented East - West, the cut edges of 7.5 km long by 3 km wide. Its circumference is about thirty kilometers. The island rises to 142 m to the semaphore.
The island became a heritage site in 1988, offers visitors beautiful walks and cycling, with attractive sandy beaches and stunning views along the southern cliffs overlooking a sea of turquoise waters. Its temperate climate adds to the charm of each season.
Louder than words, we invite you on an extraordinary journey, and this 10-minute boat ride from the city of Hyeres.
I spent a day on the island of Porquerolles, with my colleagues. it was a beautiful day. despite the fact that I live near this island, it was 15 years since I was not gone.
I photographed all along the crossing. Toulon (my city) is a military port, that is why there are pictures of military boats.
Here are some pictures of my expedition.
